Finally finished the site's front-end framework.

I'm Wang Anqi from Grade 6, Class 6. When Mr. Wu first asked me to build this website, it sounded like a bother. But putting my favorite planets on pages I'd written myself sounded nice, so I joined.

Of all my family, I love Grandma most. She's old and doesn't understand computers, but quietly sits beside me while I code. [Grandma]I love games, logic and code. Code is a precise arrow: it goes exactly where I tell it, straight to the target. I like that.

Jupiter is my favorite planet. Its enormous gravity draws in asteroids and comets that might hit Earth. Like a knight, it protects us. I use its English name for some passwords. Only unimportant ones, haha.

I've made so many friends here. We build the site and sometimes work online at the library on weekends. Li Heng generously pays ten yuan for our Internet time; we call him Brother Heng. Zheng Siyao surprised me: someone who loves code as much as I do and is almost as good. Liu Shu and Song Yuming are sweet friends; we get ice cream or bubble tea together. Track captain Liu Zixuan is dependable. When my keys fell behind the teacher's desk, he lifted it! The Hulk! Zhou Jiayi, Chang Xiao and Chen Yang often sit together. I talk about homework with them. Chen Yang loves space like me. I'm happy to do what I love with friends who understand it.

We've added each other on QQ. Twenty-five friends now! Here's a photo from our weekend trip to the cinema.

[] Our website will represent Starlight Primary in the competition. Mr. Wu says winning could mean more school computers next year. I'll work harder and keep the site running perfectly to the end.

For scientific accuracy, the Pluto page may go unused, even though several students drew pictures for it. I'll remember the day Pluto was demoted, and mourn that poor dwarf planet.

Thinking about it, my life is ordinary.

Looking back, it feels blank. When I tell people about it, I select interesting incidents and polish them, as if I've had a vivid life too.

I've never understood friends or family especially deeply. Mum and Dad are good and love me. Of course they disappoint me sometimes. Who has only good memories? I understand their circumstances. For first-time parents, I'd give them a passing grade and more.

Dad remarried. He has the right to pursue happiness; I wish him well. I live with him, though little things mean I spend more time with Grandma now.

Mum doesn't want to raise me anymore. I understand. I'll try not to upset her and be an excellent daughter, so she has one more thing to feel happy about. Perhaps she'll smile when she tells relatives and friends about me. When we meet, I try to make her laugh.

I can't entirely change their suffering alone, but I'll do everything I can. I want them to be happy.

They don't hurt each other or me on purpose. Perhaps they're carrying wounds inherited from their own parents.

Sometimes everyone seems pitiful. I want to save them.

If my very best still can't make them happy, perhaps there's nothing more I can do... ╮(╯▽╰)╭

What is that like? A blue giant. An enormous, intensely hot star, fixed in its orbit but full of energy, shining on others as much as it can.

I never feel lonely, though I'm often alone: at the shop, recalling my day at a desk, laughing at a funny thought, drawing, singing down a corridor, doing homework, watching films, imagining impossible space journeys. Blue giants are like that too. Often no planets follow them.

I look into my parents' eyes. Guilt or anger crosses their faces, and they turn away. I'm only watching a film.

I love them. Holding hands in the street, visiting amusement parks, building castles: that happiness is real. I love my friends too. Running, playing, writing code together makes me happy.

Life is fascinating. Like billions of different stars, there are so many things I can do.

I want my family and friends to be happy. One day I'll write the best love letters to my partner. I'll protect them, heal them as much as I can, and shine on them.

As long as they orbit me, I can turn light into happiness.
